Earlier this week Maggie Stiefvater shared the cover of The Raven King…and that the release date of the book has been pushed back again to April 2016, so it looks like I’ll be waiting even longer for this one.

This is another series I’ve been following since its release and I can’t wait to see how it ends. Also, the dress on this cover is insane !

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and this was a hard one since so many authors I’ve read aren’t debuts. This topic also has the option of Top Ten Sophomore Novels That I Loved Just As Much If Not More As The Author’s Debut, so I’ll do that one too….

I was about 40 pages into this book when I had my review already written . I thought this was another overly earnest, quirky contemporary about finding extraordinary in ordinary with your new Magic Pixie Dream friends. Then this book took an unexpected turn, as it delved into some really difficult truths.
Fans of The Impossible Life begins with Jeremy who is returning to his parochial school, St. Francis, after leaving early the year before. He is a loner, but soon befriends the new girl in school Mira and her friend Sebby. Mira is coming to St. Francis after having to leave her former school for reasons that are unclear until later in the book….

Earlier this month Martina took the time to share with us how she got involved in YA and the beginnings of the Compulsion for Reading campaign.
Martina’s debut novel Compulsion was published by Simon & Schuster last year , and since then Martina has been working to solve a problem that can exist between teens and their next favorite book. Access. She started The Compulsion for Reading Campaign to bring book to teens across the country. Each month a nominated teacher or librarian is chosen to receive a set of books donated by bloggers, authors or readers.
