Last week my Book Riot YA Quarterly Boxcame in the mail ! This is a quarterly bookish subscription box from Bookriot.com. Each box comes with two YA books and some book-related items. Let’s open up and see what’s inside.
Spoilers Ahoy !
I can’t remember the last time I played a game that wasn’t on an app. This is like a creative dominoes where you toss the cubes and come up with a story. I bet this would be a cool literary party game.
Today I’m Reading Chalkboard Mug
I’m might to start using this chalkboard based cup to show off what I’m reading on Twitter or Instagram.
Love the pun! This black tea has tags with literary quotes, a fun way to make your cup of tea a little bit fancier!
First of all how great is this cover ! This book wasn’t on my radar. The novel is about a girl named Nadia whose family moves to Florence, Italy. I’m all for YA books that take place outside the U.SOne Thing Stolen by Beth Kephart (ARC)
Razorhurst by Justine Larbalestier
One of my YA book kryptonites is books that take place in Australia. Larbalestier’s YA historical paranormal is about a notorious neighborhood in 1930’s Sydney and a girl who can see ghosts. This cover is amazing.
How It Went Down by Kekla Magoon
A fictional narrative similar to the Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown stories, this fictional narrative unwraps what really happened during a fatal shooting of a young black man. I’m also getting some Serial vibes from this book, with the conflicting voices and POVs trying to get to one truth.
