- 20 year-old book blogger and author Lindsay Cummings sold her first book to to HarperCollins !
- YA author Lauren Oliver sold her first adult novel to Harpers Collins entitled Room. Also Oliver’s book Before I Fall gets a director
- Teenage writer’s parents pay up to 400 dollars to get their kids books published. Does that make them published authors ? Maureen Johnson has some words. (via YAHighway)
- Between Shades of Gray won Indies Choice Book Award,YA book of the year
- First a film, now a graphic novel ! Kami Garcia announced on Twitter that a graphic novel of Beautiful Creatures is under way.
- Wate a minute . . . A new Ethan Carter Wate is cast for the Beautiful Creatures film.
- Gary Ross won’t be back as director for Catching Fire, Is it like a curse that one series can’t keep the same director ?
