The Totally Should’ve Book Tag

January 13, 2017      Leave a Comment

The Totally Should’ve Book Tag was created by EmmmaBooks on Youtube and I decided to do it after seeing Lisa and Becca do it onLost in Lit !

A BOOK THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD A SEQUEL

Never Let Me Go by Kashu Ishugoro. I’m pretty sure this would never happen, but I have so many questions left about this book.

A BOOK THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD A SPIN OFF

The Summer Prince by Alaya Dawn Johnson. I  feel like she could have opened up the world to show New Tokyo or how other countries look in the post-apocalyptic future.

AN AUTHOR THAT SHOULD TOTALLY WRITE MORE BOOKS

Erin Morgenstern. The Night Circus is such an iconic book, but it came out 5 years ago  and I know she must have other stuff in her head. Also Markus Zusak. He’s been riding that Book Thief train long enough.

A CHARACTER WHO TOTALLY SHOULD’VE ENDED UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE

ALL OF THEM BASICALLY

A BOOK THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE ENDED DIFFERENTLY

Allegiant. That is all.

A SERIES THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD A MOVIE FRANCHISE

The Legend Series by Marie Lu.

A BOOK OR SERIES THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE BEEN A TV SHOW

Daughter of Smoke and Bone should so be an animated television series a la Avatar : The Last Airbender.

A BOOK OR SERIES THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD ONLY ONE POINT OF VIEW

I felt like I got so much more out of Devorah’s point-of-view than I did Jaxon’s.

A BOOK OR SERIES THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE KEPT THE ORIGINAL COVERS

Sarah Dessen’s newest covers are pretty bland, but especially this Along for the Ride one.

A BOOK OR SERIES THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE STOPPED AT BOOK ONE

I actually don’t mind book 2 and 3 of this series, but I think it could have stopped at book 1

I’m a lifelong reader who started blogging about YA books in 2011 but now I read in just about every genre!  I love  YA coming of age stories, compelling memoirs and genre bending SFF. You can find me talking all things romance at Romance and Sensibility.
