In My Mailbox Vol. 4

October 16, 2011      18 Comments

Books & Sensibility is taking part in the In My Mailbox meme started by The Story Siren. Each week bloggers post books that have arrived in their mailbox, picked up from the bookstore or purchased. Here are some books I’m getting ready to read.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

After hearing Dessen talk about her inspiration for the novel at the National Book Festival I was clamoring to get this book. I was going to order it online when I had some money, but then I saw it for 4.50 at the used bookstore ! I just had to get it.

Soulless by Gail Carriger

Jess was looking for books for the 2011 Spooktacular Paranormal Reading Challenge at the used bookstore. I showed her this at random, but we left it at the store Then, I saw a video on YouTube of how they make the covers for these books and I decided to go back for it. I read some of it while sitting in the drive through at McDonald’s (I know, I know) and it seems pretty good.

 Devlish by Maureen Johnson

This is from the library– free books ! I am excited for Maureen Johnson’s new book, The Name of The Star, but have never actually read her other books. This was the first one I saw in the library so, I grabbed it.

I’m a lifelong reader who started blogging about YA books in 2011 but now I read in just about every genre!  I love  YA coming of age stories, compelling memoirs and genre bending SFF. You can find me talking all things romance at Romance and Sensibility.
